"We founded this company with a simple belief: technology should work for people, not the other way around."
"After teaching ESL in Spain, I saw firsthand how much pressure teachers face. That's why Lingjo exists—to genuinely support both students and the teachers who dedicate themselves to helping them learn."
Alfie's career has been deeply rooted in education and adjacent fields. His experience as an ESL teacher in Spain shaped Lingjo's core philosophy: to genuinely help students while supporting the teachers who carry immense responsibility and stress.

Today, our founders continue to foster a culture of thoughtful innovation, collaboration, and craft—rooted in real-world experience in education and dedicated to creating practical tools that genuinely help teachers teach and students learn.

Our Story

Lingjo was born from experience. Co-founder Alfie Williams spent most of his professional life working in education and adjacent fields, including years as an ESL teacher in Spain. It was there that he witnessed the daily pressures teachers face—the desire to genuinely help every student while managing overwhelming workloads and stress.

That experience became the foundation of Lingjo's philosophy. We don't just build tools for teachers; we build tools that understand the real challenges educators confront every day. Our mission is to support both students and the dedicated teachers who guide them.

Today, Lingjo continues to evolve, always rooted in the understanding that technology should serve people—especially those who serve our students.
